Smart Drive is a free Android app developed by Via Verde, designed to help users monitor, analyze, and evaluate their driving style. The app promotes road safety and offers motor insurance proposals based on the driving habits of the user.
Using the phone's location system, Smart Drive automatically detects all car trips, without the need to have the app open. At the end of each trip, the app assesses the efficiency of driving, including the speed, brakes, accelerations, and use of mobile phones. Based on this evaluation, users are given a score, feedback on their driving style, and road safety tips.
After the evaluation period, Smart Drive offers one or more proposals for motor insurance and a toll balance bonus in case of policy subscription. Subscribers can continue to use the app to convert their global driving score into a set of points that can be converted into Toll Balance.
